BY CLICKING “JOIN”, AND/OR SUBMITTING THE MEMBERSHIP PAYMENT YOU REPRESENT THAT IN ADDITION TO THE GENERAL TERMS OF USE, YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THESE MEMBER TERMS; YOU MEET THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS DESCRIBED BELOW; AND, YOU ACCEPT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE MEMBER TERMS AND ALL TERMS INCLUDED BY REFERENCE. IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT ANY PART OF THESE MEMBER TERMS, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PROCEED WITH THE MEMBERSHIP PAYMENT OR BECOME A MEMBER.
Capitalized terms not defined herein shall, unless otherwise indicated herein, have the meanings ascribed to such terms in the General Terms of Use.
Summary of Membership Terms (this summary paragraph is provided only as a courtesy and does not constitute the full agreement between the you and WWOOF Ireland, please read the General Terms of Use and this Membership Terms fully and carefully before using the Services and/or becoming a Member):
Worldwide Opportunities On Organic farms and Homesteads, Ireland’s (“WWOOF Ireland”) function is limited to providing the WWOOF platform through which current Members may interact. WWOOF Ireland shall not be responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that can result from the use of the Service. By joining, you agree to release, indemnify, assume the defence of (if requested), and hold harmless WWOOF Ireland and its Directors, Trustees, Officers, Employees and Agents from and against any and all liability, loss, wage claims, workers compensation claims, damages, costs or expense (including travel expenses or attorney’s fees). You are aware of local, and national laws, which apply to you, and will be in compliance with them. You agree to produce suitable identification for membership verification upon request.
WWOOFers: By joining WWOOF Ireland, you agree to the following: You will contact each Host you would like to visit in advance, and to leave immediately if requested to do so. In addition, you understand that you are solely responsible for all of your transportation to and from the Host, regardless of the circumstances. You understand that it is your responsibility to research insurance options to find the best fit for your needs. Please read Section 11 of these Member Terms for additional responsibilities to which you agree as a WWOOFer.
Hosts: By joining WWOOF Ireland, you agree to the following: You will follow all the Host guidelines contained in Section 12 of these Member Terms. You recognize that WWOOFing is a cultural and educational exchange, and not a labour source. You understand that it is your responsibility to investigate farmers, homeowners, and other insurance options to find the best fit for your needs. Please read section 12 of these Member Terms for additional Host terms for which you agree to be responsible.
By joining, all Members further agree to follow WWOOF Ireland’s membership guidelines included in the present Membership Terms: WWOOFers participate on the daily activities of an active farm, joining in on farm activities on a voluntary basis, learn about organic farming and sustainable living, and immerse themselves into Irish culture and life in Ireland by staying with their host family– with no payment exchanged between Hosts and WWOOFers.
1. Eligibility, Registration, and Profiles:
1.1 Age: You must be at least 18 years old to become a Member. By registering as a Member, you represent that you are over 18.
1.2 Member Registration: as a Member, upon payment and registration, you agree to (a) provide accurate, truthful, current and complete information when creating your profile; (b) maintain and promptly update your profile information; (c) maintain the security of your profile by protecting your password and restricting access to your profile; (d) promptly notifying WWOOF Ireland if you discover or otherwise suspect any security breaches related to the Services; and (e) take responsibility for all activities that occur on your profile and accept all risks of any authorized or unauthorized access. You may not use the Service if we have previously banned you. (f) Change in circumstances – You must notify WWOOF Ireland of any change in your circumstances within a reasonable period (7 days) and amend your WWOOF Ireland Host profile to reflect the same. Failure to do so could result in your WWOOF Ireland Host profile being removed from the website and/or your WWOOF Ireland membership being suspended or revoked.
1.3 Safety and Security: For the safety and security of all Users, WWOOF Ireland does not allow individuals convicted of a felony involving violence, sexual misconduct, or property damage to participate in the WWOOF Ireland programme. Notwithstanding the foregoing, individuals may apply for an exception to this prohibition if they believe their individual circumstances warrant an exception. In that case, the applicant should provide WWOOF Ireland with details substantiating their request for an exception (e.g. court records demonstrating the conviction was long ago, references indicating an applicant’s suitability for the platform, etc.). Each application for an exception will, in WWOOF Ireland’s sole discretion, be evaluated and considered. If we receive notification that you or anyone in your household (for Hosts), are in violation of this Members Terms, we reserve the right to revoke your membership immediately. If a potential Member feels that their circumstances warrant further consideration, we request you contact us and provide a written explanation.
This information will be reviewed by a committee with regard to the safety of our Members. Failure to provide further explanation, falsification, or omission of data will result in denial of or revocation of membership.
1.4 Sharing and Transferring of Profiles: There are four types of WWOOF Ireland membership – WWOOFER Individual, WWOOFER Dual, WWOOFER Family, WWOOF Host. Every Member must have a WWOOF Ireland membership. Each Member must use their legal name when registering for identification purposes. Names on the accounts cannot be changed. The only allowance of a Family account is when minors wish to use the Service with their parent or legal guardian. Not properly registering everyone in your party is cause for membership revocation. In order to preserve member accountability, no Member may have more than one account. If an account expires and a Member wishes to renew, they must renew their previous account. Members should notify us of account theft or of unauthorized use.If an account is created for the use of an individual who is under the age of 18 at the time the profile is created, membership will be revoked immediately and if any hosts have been contacted during this period, the WWOOF membership fee will not be refunded.
1.5 Visas and Immigration: If you are travelling as a foreign national, please be aware that WWOOF Ireland cannot help you obtain any immigration document and you are responsible for understanding the local laws prior to entering any foreign country. WWOOF Ireland is not responsible for any problems you may experience with immigration. If you have questions about how local laws apply you should always seek legal advice.
1.6 Insurance: WWOOFers are required to have travel, medical, or other adequate insurance, and Hosts may ask WWOOFers to confirm their coverage before they arrive. Additionally, most Hosts have some types of coverage in their homeowner’s policy. The information provided in this Section is for informational purposes only. It is the responsibility of all Members to be insured and to inquire with one another about each of their insurance obligations, if any, prior to visiting. WWOOF Ireland shall not be liable, nor responsible for any insurance requirement of any Member. You acknowledge that you assume responsibility for any risks.
1.7 Termination: We may, at our sole discretion, with or without cause (any such cause may include your breach of these Membership Terms and/or the General Terms of Use), and with or without prior notice cancel your access to our Services.
1.8 You Have Sole Responsibility When Interacting with Other Members: WWOOF Ireland’s function is limited to supplying the current directory so that Members can learn about one another, communicate with one another, and arrange visits. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other Members. We do not monitor interactions between you and other Members as a matter of course and have no obligation to do so. We do however reserve the right to do so if we wish.
1.9 Identity Verification.: We do not warrant that verification, identity or background checks conducted on Members (if any) will identify past misconduct or prevent future misconduct. Any references to a Member being “verified” (or similar language) indicate only that the Member or WWOOF Ireland has completed a relevant verification or identification process and nothing else. You are solely responsible for determining the identity and suitability of others with whom you may interact through our Services. WWOOF Ireland does not represent or warrant that our tools are sufficient to determine whether it is appropriate for you to interact with any other Member. Further, we do not endorse any persons who use or register for our Services. We do not investigate or verify any Member’s reputation, conduct, morality, criminal background, or any information Members may submit to the Service. We encourage you to take precautions when interacting with other Members, particularly when meeting a stranger in person for the first time. Furthermore, you agree to produce suitable identification if requested by a Host or WWOOFer for membership verification.
1.10 Members’ Content Restrictions: Parts of the Service enable you to provide feedback, text, photos, audio, video, information, and other content (collectively, “Content”). You are solely responsible and liable for any Content that you submit, post or transmit via our Services and if any of your Content violates or infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of any third party.
By providing Content, in whatever form and through whatever means, you grant WWOOF Ireland a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, sub-licensable and transferable license to copy, modify, prepare derivative works of, distribute, publish and otherwise exploit, that Content, without limitation. If Content includes personal information, our Policy describes how we use that personal information. We reserve the right to remove any Content, in whole or part, that violates these Membership Terms and/or the General Terms of Use, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
The following Content is not allowed:
● discriminatory, obscene, harassing, deceptive or violent content;
● personal attacks or insults, profanity, inappropriate, illegal, lewd, or unrelated content, hate speech, sexual references, intentionally inflammatory rhetoric, or defamation (including libel);
● personal contact information, including without limitations name, phone number and websites in profile descriptions since these are visible to the public;
● unsolicited promotions, political campaigning, advertising or solicitations, without our prior written consent;
● private or personal information about another person, unless such person has agreed to the disclosure of this information;
● viruses, corrupted data or other harmful, disruptive or destructive files viruses, cancel bots, Trojan horses, harmful code, flood pings, denial-of-service attacks, packet or IP spoofing, forged routing or electronic mail address information or similar methods or technology;
● content which may infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other intellectual or proprietary right of any third party.
By posting Content, you represent and warrant that you have the lawful right to post, distribute and reproduce such Content;
We do not monitor Content as a matter of course. If you become aware of Content that violates these Membership Terms and/or the General Terms of Use, you may contact us directly to report.
2. Responsibility: The responsibility of WWOOF Ireland is limited to providing a means of contact between Hosts and WWOOFers. Any arrangements made are entirely the members’ own responsibility.
3. Respect: You further agree to be respectful to Hosts, WWOOFers, the Host’s family and their property, and WWOOF Ireland’s employees.
4. Respond: In an effort to encourage good communication between Members you agree to respond to all reasonable messages from other Members. You further agree to respond to any direct communication from WWOOF Ireland administration in a timely manner (7 days on receipt). Continued failure to respond to direct communication from WWOOF Ireland will result in your WWOOF Ireland membership being suspended or revoked.
5. Messages from WWOOF Ireland: In agreeing to be a Member you accept that we will contact you, along with other Members, in order to advise of issues important for the functioning of WWOOF Ireland, new regulations, warnings, up-coming related events, etc.WWOOF Ireland will only communicate with its members through the WWOOF Ireland messaging platform. It is the duty of all WWOOF Ireland members, hosts and WWOOFERs, to regularly check the WWOOF Ireland website messaging platform to check for messages and respond accordingly in a timely manner (7 days on receipt).
6. Delivery Policy: WWOOF Ireland endeavours to review and activate new Host memberships within 1-5 business days though your application may take more or less time. WWOOFer memberships are activated immediately upon receiving payment. Once activated, both memberships provide access to create a profile and view the full online member directory, allowing Hosts and WWOOFers to connect for opportunities to learn about sustainable agriculture in Ireland.
7. Refund Policy: A refund may be available up to 14 days from purchase date based on a case-by-case review upon request. If any membership policies have been violated within these 14 days then you void your right to a refund.
8. Pricing: There are four types of WWOOF Ireland membership – WWOOFER Individual, WWOOFER Dual, WWOOFER Family, WWOOF Host. (a) WWOOFER Individual – WWOOFer membership price is €28 per person, over the age of 18, providing display of your profile on the WWOOFer directory and access to the online host directory for 1 year from date of purchase. (b) WWOOFER Dual membership price is 50euro for two adults, over the age of 18, providing display of a dual/joint profile on the WWOOFer directory and access to the online host directory for 1 year from date of purchase. (c) WWOOFER Family membership price is 50euro, for two adults , over the age of 18 and up to 3 children, under the age of 18. At least one of the adults musts have legal guardianship of the children. (d) WWOOF Host membership price is 40€ providing display of your profile on the host directory and access to online WWOOFer directory for 1 year from date of purchase.
9. Reporting Misconduct: If you interact with anyone through our Services who you feel is acting or has acted inappropriately, including but not limited to offensive, violent or sexually inappropriate behaviour, who steals from you or engages in any other disturbing conduct, we strongly encourage you to immediately report such person to the appropriate authorities and to contact us. Please note that although we encourage you to report misconduct, we are not responsible or liable for our Members’ actions and we are not obligated to take any action in regards to any misconduct. Any reports of inappropriate behaviour by a WWOOF member towards another WWOOF member will be investigated by WWOOF Ireland, and may be cause for membership being revoked.
10. WWOOFers and Hosts Duties: WWOOFers spend time and participate in the daily running of an active organic farm, joining in on farm activities on a voluntary basis, learning about organic farming and sustainable living, as well as Irish culture and life in Ireland by staying with their host family – with no payment, contract, exchanged between Hosts and WWOOFers.
11. WWOOFers: As a WWOOFer you agree to the following:
11.1 Transportation and expenses: You are solely responsible for all of your transportation to and from the Host’s location and any other expenses, regardless of the circumstances.
11.2 Arranging a visit: You agree to contact each Host you would like to visit in advance to arrange a visit, and to leave immediately if requested to do so.
11.3 Confirming a visit: once a WWOOF visit has been agreed and the Host has formally accepted your visit request on the WWOOF platform by clicking on the CONFIRM button, the Host will contact you via the private messaging system to pass on their contact details, phone & address to you. You must let the Host farm know immediately if you cannot honor your commitment, so the Host can free up their calendar for another WWOOFer. You agree to read the Host’s profile carefully to ensure that your expectations are managed and met – e.g. the host may not permit smoking or may have a specific dietary requirements.
11.4 Change of plans: You agree to notify Hosts well in advance if due to unforeseen circumstances you cannot honour your commitment to visit them. If you are a ‘no-show’, Hosts may leave negative reviews on your profile page. Additionally, you understand that WWOOF Ireland may cancel your membership if we receive reports of three no-shows.
11.5 Leaving a host: If you choose to leave a WWOOF host earlier than originally planned you agree to notify WWOOF Ireland of your departure. If you are contacted by WWOOF Ireland and asked to leave a WWOOF host who you are staying with, you agree to leave and liaise with WWOOF to find an alternative WWOOF Host to stay with. If after WWOOF ask you to leave the Host you are currently with, you choose to continue on with them, you understand and agree that your stay will no longer be classed as WWOOFing or supported by WWOOF Ireland but will be a private arrangement between individuals. You also agree that continuing to stay may jeopardise your WWOOF membership. If you are a no show or cancel your visit at short notice without good reason, hosts may leave a review on your WWOOF profile page.
11.6 Respect: You agree to respect each Host’s property and follow all farm rules while visiting. You agree to compensate our hosts for any wilful damage caused by your use of the said property.
11.7 Participation: You agree that you are interested in learning more about organic agriculture while participating in the daily life of your Host farmer.
11.8 Learning Guide: In agreeing to be a member of WWOOF Ireland you acknowledge that you should participate in The Learning Guide.
11.9 A WWOOF Ireland WWOOFER Profile must read, understand and abide by the WWOOFer Declaration
11.10 WWOOF Ireland membership: A WWOOF host is a subscribed member of WWOOF Ireland, with a visible profile on the website. A WWOOFER is a subscribed member of WWOOF Ireland, with a visible profile on the website. A WWOOF Host can only offer a WWOOFING exchange experience with a WWOOFER registered with WWOOF Ireland, if friends want to WWOOF together, all parties need to have valid WWOOF memberships and corresponding profiles. The corresponding WWOOF profile must be mentioned on each WWOOFER profile.
11.11 Family Membership: Children (under the age of 18), travelling under family membership, are not allowed to WWOOF. With the parent/guardian and hosts concent, they may join in the activities on the farm/homestead. They are under the care of parent/guardian at all times. The parent/guardian is solely responsible for the childrens activities and safety at all times. There is no requirement for Hosts to provide food for children WWOOFing on a family membership. Arrangments need to agreed between the host and Parent/Guardian before the visit is accepted.
11.12 Due Diligence: A WWOOF host could ask for the following from a potential WWOOFer before accepting them
(a) Ensure adequate insurance in place
(b) Photo ID, drivers licence
(c) Medical conditions and whether they are being managed
12 Hosts: as a Host, you agree to the following:
12.1 Respond to visit requests: You agree to respond to WWOOFers visits request in a timely manner to either accept or decline their request ( 7 days upon receipt). If agreement is reached to confirm a WWOOFer visit request, you agree to press the CONFIRM button on the website as soon as agreement has been reached. If you do not wish or intend to host a WWOOFer you agree to press the REJECT button on the website in a timely manner to let the WWOOFer know your decision.
12.2 Not a Source of Labour: You recognize that WWOOFers participate in the programme with a cultural and educational purpose, and shall not be considered a labour source. You understand that it is your responsibility to investigate farmer, homeowner, and other insurance options to find the best fit for your needs.
12.3 Being a Host: You agree to practice organic or sustainable growing methods; to provide an educational experience and share knowledge with WWOOFers; to provide adequate food for three meals per day; to provide suitable and sanitary living accommodations; to ask WWOOFers to participate in the daily running of an active organic farm; joining in on farm activities on a voluntary basis, and to keep your profile up-to-date with accurate and detailed information about WWOOFer activities. You agree to notify WWOOF Ireland of any change to your circumstances that could affect your ability to host or the WWOOFer’s WWOOFing experience – e.g. change in set up, number of people living with you, tasks etc. You agree to review your profile every 6/12 months to ensure it remains accurate.
12.4 You agree to complete a detailed host profile as set out in the Host Declaration:
12.5 Animal Welfare: In addition to practising organic or sustainable growing methods, you agree to the humane treatment of any animals on your property and understand that reports of animal neglect may be cause for membership cancellation.
12.6 Religious or Spiritual Affiliation: You further agree to disclose on your profile and in communication with WWOOFers if your host farm is also a religious or spiritual organization. You will also disclose if any religious practices, events or behaviours are required of visitors to the farm.
12.7 Safety: As a Host, you are responsible for WWOOFers safety while they are visiting your farm. If a WWOOFer becomes injured or ill while visiting, you are responsible for helping them seek medical attention and contacting our office for support if needed. A WWOOFer should receive support in recovering from illness/injury by remaining at your farm until able to safely leave, within reason.
12.8 Learning Guide: In agreeing to be a member of WWOOF Ireland you acknowledge that Learning Guide participation is mandatory
12.9 Eircode: Eircode of the property is mandatory (Eircode to be included on the private area of website, rather than visible on the public profile page)
12.10 Supervision: As a Host you agree that a WWOOFER should not be left alone on the property overnight or for extended periods of time with or without their knowledge. WWOOFers must not be asked or expected to look after any child or children or other individual(s) regardless of whether the Host is present. If both parties wish to agree arrangements amongst themselves, they must agree that it is at their own risk and not part of the WWOOF Ireland agreement. WWOOFers are not allowed to have responsibility for other WWOOFers.
If a host has to leave the property they must ensure that there is a qualified person (not a WWOOFer) present for the entire duration of their absence who will be able to supervise, instruct and assist WWOOFers. This must be mentioned on the profile or if it is a one off, you should notify WWOOF of the change in circumstances immediately.
12. 11 CHANGE OF PLANS: If Hosts are unable to host a WWOOFer for any reason they must not recommend or send WWOOFers to other non WWOOF individuals. Hosts should notify WWOOF Ireland by email of the situation or ask the WWOOFer to contact WWOOF Ireland as soon as possible.
12.12 A WWOOF Ireland Host Profile needs to comply with the Host Declaration
12.13 Due Diligence: Where relevant and at the hosts discretion, a host could ask for the following from a potential WWOOFER before accepting them
- Ensure adequate insurance in place
- Photo ID, drivers licence
- Medical conditions and whether they are being managed
- It is expected that all hosts are up to date with current legislation and requirements.
12.14 WWOOF Ireland Membership: A WWOOF host is a subscribed member of WWOOF Ireland, with a visible profile on the website. WWOOF Ireland expects all of its hosts to be up to date with current legislation. A WWOOFER is a subscribed member of WWOOF Ireland, with a visible profile on the website. A WWOOF Host can only offer a WWOOFING exchange experience with a WWOOFER, if friends want to WWOOF together, all parties need to have valid WWOOF memberships and corresponding profiles.
12.15 WWOOFERs are not Workers: WWOOFers participate in hosts’ organic farm activities in a free and voluntary manner. The participation WWOOFers offer is voluntary, although the exact level of participation is agreed prior to final commitment, to suit both sides. It can vary slightly from host farm to host farm. It is best to tailor each learning experience with each WWOOFer on a day-by-day or a week-by-week basis. WWOOFers have no obligation to help make the organic farm profitable.
12.16 Family Membership: Children (under the age of 18), travelling under family membership, are not allowed to WWOOF. With the parent/guardian and hosts concent, they may join in the activities on the farm/homestead. They are under the care of parent/guardian at all times. The parent/guardian is solely responsible for the childrens activities and safety at all times. There is no requirement for Hosts to provide food for children WWOOFing on a family membership. 13. Termination: WWOOF Ireland may, at its sole discretion and with or without a refund, with or without cause (any such cause may include your breach of these Membership Terms and/or the General Terms of Use), and with or without prior notice: (a) cancel your access to our Service, (b) block or remove your membership and profile and all related information and files
14. WWOOF Ireland Policies: WWOOF Ireland members can request a WWOOF Ireland policy. WWOOF Ireland policies cannot be shared with anyone other than a WWOOF Ireland member. WWOOF Ireland is governed by GDPR restrictions.
16. WWOOFing is not : It is not an internship programme, work experience, apprenticeship, labour, primarily a way to learn English, primarily a way to travel around Ireland. . These activities are not covered by WWOOF Ireland. If the WWOOF host and the WWOOFER discuss and agree anything other than WWOOFing activities, this is not covered or supported by WWOOF Ireland. The WWOOF platform is not to be used for agreeing or procuring any activity other than WWOOFing.
17 Sufficient Funds: WWOOFERs coming to Ireland to WWOOF must be financialy independent; have access to sufficient funds to support their stay in Ireland without recourse to public funds, or the reliance on casual employment, in the event that WWOOFing plans do not proceed as expected, eg: in case of sickness, Host being unavailable at short notice, Host/WWOOFer unsuitability etc.

WWOOF Ireland owns the WWOOF Platform (“WP”) which is the web platform used by this website. WWOOF Ireland own the domains through which you access the WP.
These General Terms of Use, including our Privacy Policy , hereinafter, the “Terms”, govern your access to and use of the WP and all respective Sites of each of WWOOF entities mentioned in Schedule 1 using the WP (collectively the “Service”). These Terms are a binding agreement between you and WWOOF with respect to the Service. The offer of the Service to you is conditioned upon your acceptance of these Terms.
The Service is operated respectively by WWOOF Ireland. When used in these Terms, “WWOOF,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refers to WWOOF Ireland. The term “you” refers to any person using any Site and/or the Service (“User”). A User must pay a membership fee to WWOOF Ireland to access and use many features of the Service. Upon payment of such membership fee, Users shall be considered “Members”. A Member who registers an account as a WWOOFer is a “WWOOFer”; and a Member who registers an account as a “Host” is a “Host”.

The intention of these conditions is that you have a full and mutual understanding with WWOOF Ireland for an enjoyable and fulfilling WWOOF Ireland experience.
1. Modification: We reserve the right to modify, amend, or otherwise change these Terms, in whole or in part, at any time and at our sole discretion without notice. Each time you access a Service, you agree to be bound by the most current version of the Terms. However, it is ultimately your responsibility to review the Terms for any changes before using the Service. You may not change any elements of the Terms without our prior written consent. 2. Privacy Policy: We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any third parties. We’ve updated our Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) to take into account the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The Policy is hereby incorporated, in its entirety, into these Terms by reference.
3. Transparency: We’ve provided additional details about the information we collect and how we use that information. We’ve also explained your choices and the control you have over your information.
4. Functionality: We may provide you with the ability to access and request correction or deletion of your personal information. This Policy applies to our use of any and all data collected by us in relation to your use of a Site or Service. Please read the Policy carefully and ensure that you understand it.
5. Harassment policy: Harassment based upon an individual’s sex, race, ethnicity, national origin, age, religion or any other legally protected characteristics will not be tolerated by WWOOF. All Users are expected and required to abide by this policy.
6. Discrimination policy: WWOOF does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. These activities include account and/or membership applications (Host or WWOOFer). We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all Users and require all Users to abide by this policy.
7. Intellectual Property Rights: Any trademarks and service marks, trade names, trade dresses, copyrighted works of authorship, rights of publicity, patents, know-how, trade secrets, and proprietary ideas that are displayed, performed, transmitted, or otherwise appearing on the Service and the content therein (collectively, the “IP”) are owned by WWOOF Ireland, licensed to WWOOF Ireland, or used by WWOOF Ireland in a merely descriptive manner, under the fair use doctrine, under the first-sale doctrine, by virtue of being in the public domain, or in accordance with another legal exception or exemption. Other than as expressly allowed by us in writing, nothing herein or in the Service may be implied as granting any license, assignment, or right to copy or use of our trade name or any of our IP without our prior written authorization. Any unauthorized reproduction or distribution of the Service or content therein that you do not own, or parts thereof, is expressly prohibited and may result in civil litigation, damages, injunctive relief and possibly even criminal penalties under law. WWOOF may use such information without monetary compensation to you and in consideration for the various services and content provided or made available to you through the Service.
If you want to use certain features of the Service, you may have to provide personal information, including without limitation your full name, email address, company (optional), postal address, telephone number, payment information, and billing address.
You are solely responsible for the safekeeping of your information, and you agree to supervise and take full responsibility for any use of your information by you or anyone other than you (whether authorized by you or not). YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT: (1) NONE OF WWOOF IRELAND OR ANY AFFILIATE OR PARTNER WILL HAVE ANY LIABILITY TO YOU OR OTHERS FOR ANY UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS MADE USING YOUR INFORMATION; AND, (2) THE UNAUTHORIZED USE OF YOUR INFORMATION COULD CAUSE YOU TO INCUR LIABILITY TO WWOOF IRELAND.
9. Restrictions on Your Use of the Service. You agree that you will NOT use the Service, or any portion(s) thereof or content found therein, in any way not expressly permitted by these Terms or in any way that violates the governing law or any other applicable local, state, national and international laws and regulations of your residence and location; and that if you do, we reserve the right to terminate your access to and use of the Service, and you may be subject to various liabilities under the applicable laws. Specifically, you represent, warrant, and agree that you will NOT:
(a) use the Service in a way that violates any law, including promoting, participating in, or encouraging any illegal activity; or infringes the rights of any third party, including without limitation, intellectual property, privacy, publicity or contractual rights; (b) use the Service or any of its contents to sell access to the Service or its contents, gain advertising or subscription revenues, or collect, data-mine, or harvest personally identifiable information for your profit; (c) act as an agent, affiliate, or representative of WWOOF Ireland or the Service; (d) suggest or imply that WWOOFIreland or the Service has any relationship or affiliation with any other company or services, or that WWOOF Ireand endorses, sponsors, or recommends the contents, products or services on any website, webpage, or other platform; (e) modify, translate, adapt, edit, transform, or otherwise create derivative works of or from any part of the Service or contents therein; (f) circumvent, hack, disable, decompile, reverse-engineer, DDOS attack, password sniff, inject malicious code into, or interfere in any way with security-related features, robot-exclusion headers, technical measures, algorithms, source code, or digital rights management tools that restrict or limit use or copying of the Service or any contents therein; (g) impose, in our opinion, an unreasonable or disproportionately large burden on our infrastructure; (h) deep-link to any portion of the Service for any purpose; (i) frame, mirror, or otherwise incorporate any part of the Service into any other website, webpage, mobile application, product, or service unless you have WWOOF Ireland’s express permission to do so; and (k) use the Services in any manner that could interfere with, disrupt, negatively affect or inhibit other Users from fully enjoying the Services or that could damage, disable, overburden or impair the functioning of the Services in any manner; (l) use our Services in connection with the distribution of spam (which we define as sending the same message to 10 or more Members, unsolicited bulk e-mail or any other unsolicited messages of a commercial, religious, romantic or political or other nature not within the intended purposes of the Services); (m) stalk, intimidate, threaten or otherwise harass or cause discomfort to any other User or WWOOF Ireland’s employee; (n) use collect or store any information about any other User other than as permitted on our Services; (o) use publish or publicize the personal information of other Users (including name, address, or other private details) without the prior permission of that User; (p) use our Services for any commercial purpose whatsoever, unless with prior written consent from WWOOF Ireland; (q) use to impersonate any person or entity, or falsify or otherwise misrepresent yourself or your affiliation with any person or entity, whether by providing or omitting to provide information; (r) use circumvent or attempt to defeat any security or verification measure relating to use of the Services; and/or (s) use the Service to assist any third party in doing any of the foregoing.
10. Indemnification. You agree to defend, indemnify, reimburse, and hold harmless WWOOF Ireland as well as its shareholders, officers, employees, agents, advisors, subsidiaries, affiliates, assignors and licensors from and against any and all claims, causes of action, actions, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, fines, penalties, costs and expenses of any kind, and settlements including without limitation, attorney, paralegal, expert witness, investigation, and accounting fees, in connection with (i) your use or misuse of the Service, (ii) your breach of any provision in these Terms, (iii) any of your representations or warranties made herein, or (iv) your violation of any law or regulation or of rights of any third party. We will have the option to assume the exclusive defense and control of any action to which WWOOF Ireland is named a party, and you agree to cooperate with us in asserting any available defenses we find appropriate.
NOTHING STATED IN THESE TERMS SHALL BE DEEMED TO EXCLUDE OR LIMIT YOUR LIABILITY IN RESPECT OF ANY INDEMNITY GIVEN BY YOU UNDER THESE TERMS.
11. DISCLAIMERS AND LIABILITY LIMITATIONS. The express responsibilities set forth herein are the only responsibilities of WWOOF Ireland to you in respect of the Service, and we have no other responsibilities to you with respect to the Service. We provide the Service and all related content “as is” without warranty of any kind and we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied. For example: (i) we do not endorse or warrant the existence, conduct, performance, safety, quality, legality or suitability of any User or third party; (ii) we do not warrant the performance or non-interruption of the WWOOF websites; and (iii) we do not warrant that verification, identity or background checks conducted on Members (if any) will identify past misconduct or prevent future misconduct. Any references to a Member being “WWOOF verified” (or similar language) indicate only that the Member has completed a relevant verification or identification process and nothing else. The disclaimers in these Terms apply to the maximum extent permitted by law. If you have statutory rights or warranties we cannot disclaim, the duration of any such statutorily required rights or warranties, will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Neither WWOOF Ireland (including its affiliates and personnel) nor any other party involved in creating, producing, or delivering the Service or any related content will be liable for any incidental, special, exemplary or consequential damages, including lost profits, loss of data or loss of goodwill, service interruption, computer damage or system failure or the cost of substitute products or services, or for any damages for personal or bodily injury or emotional distress arising out of or in connection with (i) these Terms, (ii) the use of or inability to use the Service, (iii) any communications, interactions or meetings you may have with someone you interact or meet with through, or as a result of, your use of the Service, or (iv) publishing or booking of a listing, including the provision or use of Host services, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), product liability or any other legal theory, and whether or not WWOOF Ireland has been informed of the possibility of such damage, even if a limited remedy set out in these Terms is found to have failed of its essential purpose.
IN NO EVENT SHALL WWOOF IRELAND AND ANY OF ITS AND/OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, SHAREHOLDERS, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS, PROCEEDINGS, LIABILITIES, OBLIGATIONS, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR COSTS IN EXCESS OF 100.00 Euro.
These limitations of liability and damages are fundamental elements of the agreement between you WWOOF ireland and all Sites (Learning Guide). If applicable law does not allow the limitations of liability set out in these Terms, the above limitations may not apply to you.
12. Governing Law. These Terms and any and all claims, disputes, or other legal proceedings by or between you and us, including but not limited to any claims or disputes that are in any way related to or arising out of these Terms or your use or access to the Service, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Irish law.
13. Arbitration. ALL DISPUTES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR ANY ASPECT OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN YOU, WWOOF IRELAND, WWOOF IRELAND SITES, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, STATUTE, FRAUD, MISREPRESENTATION OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, WILL BE RESOLVED THROUGH FINAL AND BINDING ARBITRATION BEFORE A NEUTRAL ARBITRATOR WHO SHOULD BE APPOINTED BY THE LAW SOCIETY OF IRELAND AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES ON A SUITABLE PERSON TO BE ARBITRATOR. YOU AGREE THAT ANY ARBITRATION UNDER THIS AGREEMENT WILL TAKE PLACE ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS; CLASS ARBITRATIONS AND CLASS ACTIONS ARE NOT PERMITTED AND YOU ARE AGREEING TO GIVE UP THE ABILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION. Such Arbitrator may in his sole discretion appoint a person of skill in the field relevant to the area of claim or dispute to assist him in the determination thereof. The Arbitrator will have unfettered discretion as to how the arbitration is to be conducted and whether in person, through zoom or video link or on written submissions alone. The Arbitrator will have power to award the costs of the arbitration as he sees fit and such costs may include his usual fees for acting as Arbitrator and any person of skill appointed by him as aforesaid. A decision of the Arbitrator may only be appealed if the Arbitrator has failed, materially, to follow the Terms of the Agreement. Such appeal will be determined by a Court in terms of Clause 12 hereof.
14. Relationship of the Parties. No agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship is created or exists between you and WWOOF Ireland or our affiliates unless expressly stated in another agreement.
15. Waivers. The failure of either party to exercise any right provided for herein shall not be deemed a waiver of any further rights hereunder. For any waiver of compliance with these Terms to be binding, we must provide you with written notice of such waiver through one of our authorized representatives. However, such waiver of any provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of any other provision or of our right to require strict observance of each of the terms herein.
16. Entire Agreement. These Terms constitute the full agreement in respect of your use of the Service, and supersede any other communication, understanding or agreement between you and WWOOF concerning the Site(s) and the Service.
17. Severability. If any provision of these Terms is deemed to be unenforceable or invalid by any court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction, for any reason, that provision will be limited or severed to the extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
18. Assignments. You may not assign or transfer the Terms or any licenses and rights discussed herein, without our prior written consent. Any attempt by you to assign, transfer, delegate or sublicense the Terms, or any part thereof, without such consent will be null and void. We may assign, transfer, delegate or sublicense the Terms or any licenses and rights discussed herein, at our sole discretion, without restriction. Subject to the foregoing, the Terms will bind and inure to the benefit of the parties, their successors and permitted assigns.
19. Force Majeure. WWOOF Ireland will not be deemed to be in violation or breach of contract if performance of the obligations required by the Terms is delayed or rendered impossible because of any natural disaster, war, terrorist act, earthquake, fire, thunder, lightning, typhoon, tsunami, hurricane, flood, strike, sickness, accident, civil commotion, epidemic, pandemic, act of government, act of God, rebellion, revolution, riots, explosion, marine accident, strike, lockout, labor dispute, shortage or regulation of energy supply or materials, or other unforeseen event that is beyond the control of either party hereto.
20. Notices. All notices we are required to give you may be delivered electronically by email or through the Service. Unless you indicate otherwise prior to our sending of the notice, we may send email notices to your last-supplied email address or the email address that is linked to your WWOOF Ireland account. Notices we send you will be deemed delivered when emailed or transmitted by us.
All notices, approvals, requests or demands you make to WWOOF, shall be in writing, and shall be sent by express courier as follows: WWOOF Ireland, Ratooragh, Schull, Co. Cork, Ireland.

21. All Rights Reserved. All rights not expressly granted to you herein are reserved and not waived. We reserve the right to enforce our rights to the fullest extent permitted under the laws of any relevant jurisdiction, including criminal prosecution where available.
